Earlier this month Professor of Landscape Architecture Elizabeth Hermann and RISD students from various departments, including grad students Yufeng Xu MLA. We seek colleagues who are engaged in and energized by the developing and shifting dynamics of 21st-century design, primarily through a critical lens, and who are actively involved in re-thinking design, design history, pedagogy, curriculum, and the profession’s relationship to power. We seek candidates who use graphic languages, writing systems, typography, innovative methods of form-making, and experimental approaches in order to develop broader, more inclusive narratives that embrace and advance non-traditional histories.
